We are pleased to announce that Kennison Staffing Associates and the Artists Foundation are working together to support the arts by creating job opportunities for artists. Kennison was established in 1991 by Jane Kennison. Since that time it has grown to a staff of 28 with over 130 years of combined experience. The Kennison team's skills and knowledge has enable the firm to create long term trusted relationships with Boston's most prestigious companies.
Kennison Staffing Associates is Kennison's temporary placement agency that has offices both in Boston and Wellesley (if you have a car this office might also be useful to you). Kennison Staffing Associates has temporary jobs in a variety of industries and their jobs are mainly administrative support positions. Kennison approached the AF to collaborate because they truly value artists as employees. They have been working with Stage Source for quite sometime and have had several theater artists working in their own offices! Kennison employs artists working in all disciplines: Visual Artists, Actors, Musicians, Writers, Vocalists, Dancers and more. (Kennison also has a Permanent Placement Division: Kennison & Associates, Inc- so you can temp while you look for permanent placement -see our "Head Hunters Worth the Call" section)!
Even if Kennison isn't the choice for you, please tell a friend. And if you are already gainfully employed and your company hires temps- please go to your HR department and ask them to look into working with Kennison. By doing this your company can support the arts and also create real economic opportunities for artists.
Heather Coffman from Kennison, is available to answer any questions. Please feel free to call her at (617) 478-2222 or email her at hcoffaman@kennisonstaffing.com. Remember to tell her how you found out about Kennison!
