Volunteer and Internship Program

The AF Multi-Site Internship/Volunteer Program
Much of the Artists Foundation's work is accomplished through the efforts of volunteers who contribute their time and talents. Artists - or anyone interested in art and its positive impact on community and individuals - are welcome to work a few hours on a project or commit to ongoing projects. The AF internship program trains college students in arts-related work skills, rotating them among AF collaborators in the arts, social service, and public policy organizations.

If you are interested in only volunteering at the AF, call us directly at (617) 464-3559. Leave a day and evening phone number so we can contact you. Look over all of our programs to see what you are interested in before you call us.

How the Mulit-site Internship program works:
If you are planning to volunteer/intern at two or more organizations for your internship, the AF can act as the main contact organization for your internship (you don't even have to volunteer directly for the AF!!). The AF can sponsor your internship, collect feed back from the participating organizations, and the AF will do the final reports for your internship. (If you are only interning at one organization, that organization will be responsible for the paper work.)

Included in this section is a list of some of the AF Collaborators who are interested in interns/volunteers. This list will grow over time. Please feel free to call them directly and as many of them as you like. Often times the smaller organizations don't need "full time" volunteers, so if you need to have certain amount of hours to receive credit for your internship, contact several organizations. Again, if you are interning at two or more organizations and need the AF to act as the sponsor of your internship, call Kathy at the AF at (617) 464-3559. Leave a day and evening phone number so she can contact you
