How to help the Artists Foundation in its endeavors

Volunteer/Intern Opportunities
Much of the Artists Foundation's work is accomplished through the efforts of volunteers who contribute their time and talents. Artists - or anyone interested in art and its positive impact on community and individuals - are welcome to work a few hours on a project or commit to ongoing projects. The AF internship program also trains college students in arts-related work skills, rotating them among collaborators and arts, social service, and public policy organizations. Please see the section on the AF's Multi-site Volunteer/Intern Program on how you can get involved.

Financial Support
The Artists Foundation's budget is comprised of grants, primarily funding specific projects and donations from individuals and groups. A gift of any size is welcome and is tax deductible. We would like to secure $1500+ to install proper lighting in our Office Gallery and new doors in our Boston site.

Please send your check to: the Artists Foundation 516 East 2nd Street #49, South Boston MA 02127 or call (617) 464-3559on how you can get involved.

In Kind Support and Donations
The AF would greatly appreciate in kind support in the form of free copying and/or printing for our program materials. We are also in need of a fairly MAC compatible printer (ink jet or laser), a MAC Zip Drive, MAC external drive, Scanner and slide scanner, etc.. please call us at 617-464-3559 if you have any of the above equipment
.

Research
If you would like to send us information to include on the AF Web page (tell us of links we should have etc...) or would like us to address some issue/concern please MAIL or email us (each section has an email address for it)! This is a community driven WEB site- ie we expect the users to be proactive and to help us in developing this site (Please note that their are some sections that do have an email address to contact for that area - due to the fact that a volunteer has agreed to oversee that one area).

PS
Remember to, on any level, raise consciousness on the importance of supporting artists and the arts. Write a letter to or call your elected officials (at all levels of Government) to encourage them to support artists and the arts. Also remember to support artist run spaces and artist run events in your geographic area.

Patronize Supporters of the AF
One of the best ways to help the AF is to patronize any business that has given us support! If your are gainfully employed and your company hires temps- go to your HR person and ask them to look in to working with Kennison Staffing (617-478-2222 ask for Heather Yurek). By doing this your company can support the arts and also create real economic opportunities for artists. (if you are looking for work, then please see the section on Employment opportunities for artists- AF Collaboration with Kennison Staffing)
